If a city with a close-knit community, surrounded by breathtaking mountains, pristine lakes, and lush forests is what you’re looking for, then Revelstoke may be the right place for you.

Located about an hour east of Sicamous, this mountain city is the halfway mark for Vancouver and Calgary. With a wide range of activities, opportunities, and a smaller population – approximately 8,000 – Revelstoke has a strong community that looks out for each other.

Stay active all year long

When it comes to outdoor activities, Revelstoke is hard to beat. No matter what season or fitness level, there is something for everyone in this natural wonderland.

During the summer, the city is vibrant with activity. Common activities include road cycling, mountain biking, hiking trails, rock climbing, camping, fishing, bird watching, boating, and much more. Revelstoke celebrates its breathtaking location by respectfully exploring every nook and cranny.

Get ready for lots of snow. In the winter, Revelstoke receives some impressive snowfalls. While that may not sound great on the surface, it makes for an exciting skiing and snowboarding season on Mt. McKenzie, as well as snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and cat- and heli-skiing.

There are also various events throughout the year that you won’t want to miss including the Summer Street Festival that runs for about 2 months from June to August and offers free live music every single night.

Live comfortably

While the primary economic industries in Revelstoke are forestry, public service, transportation, and tourism for summer and winter, there are plenty of other opportunities to find the perfect job for you in Revelstoke.

Providing a wide range of job opportunities and support for the residents of Revelstoke, this city is full of all the amenities you will need, including restaurants, grocery stores, schools, a hospital, library, museum, and many more.
